SSL Certificates

An SSL/TLS certificate encrypts traffic between your visitors and your site (the padlock & https://). Follow these steps to secure a domain.

1. 1. Have a domain ready

   SSL is issued for a domain you own. Add or register one first in Domains. You can also use a domain you already have — click "Bring your own domain" above, type it, and choose Use this domain.

2. 2. Request a certificate

   Click Request Certificate, choose your domain, and select a certificate type (e.g. single domain or wildcard). Incolis issues it free via Let's Encrypt by default.

3. 3. Verify domain ownership

   We automatically place the validation records/challenges on your domain's DNS. If your domain's DNS is managed by Incolis this is instant; if it's external, make sure the DNS records we show are present at your registrar. The status changes from pending to active once validated.

4. 4. Keep auto-renew on

   Certificates expire (usually after 90 days). Leave the Auto-Renew toggle on so Incolis renews it for you before it lapses — no downtime, no manual work.

5. 5. Renew or revoke anytime

   Use Renew to force a refresh, or Revoke to remove a certificate (for example when you no longer use the domain). Manage deeper settings via SSL Settings.

6. 6. Upgrade storage / plan (optional)

   Click Purchase SSL Plan to add a Starter (1GB) or Business (5GB) plan with multi-domain, wildcard and priority support options. Choose monthly or yearly billing and add to cart.
